Our Journey Into Plant-Based Cooking

Vitally Food Healthy was born from a simple realization: plant-based cooking doesn't have to be complicated, intimidating, or taste bland. Our founder, Dina Wijaya, spent over a decade experimenting in her kitchen across Jakarta, Medan, and Surabaya, learning from traditional Indonesian cooks, culinary experts, and food scientists. What started as a personal passion became a mission to help others discover the joy of nourishing themselves with whole plant foods.

Every recipe we teach, every technique we share, and every concept we explain comes from real kitchen experience — not theory alone. Dina is a self-taught culinary enthusiast with over 10 years of plant-based cooking experience. She has studied with traditional Indonesian cooks, nutritionists, and international chefs. Her teaching philosophy centers on making plant-based eating practical, delicious, and culturally relevant. Outside the kitchen, Dina advocates for sustainable food practices and mentors young food writers across Southeast Asia.

Rudi brings 8 years of experience in educational program design and food science education. He has developed curriculum for culinary schools across Indonesia and specializes in translating complex cooking concepts into clear, step-by-step lessons. Why We Exist

We created this course because we saw a gap: many people wanted to explore plant-based cooking but felt overwhelmed by scattered information, unfamiliar techniques, or the fear of wasting ingredients. We also noticed that most plant-based resources assumed either complete beginner status or advanced chef knowledge — there was little practical middle ground.

Vitally Food Healthy exists to fill that space. We believe plant-based cooking should feel accessible, not intimidating. It should celebrate the abundance of Indonesian ingredients, not require imports. It should teach skills you can use for life, not just follow one recipe. And it should be honest: some techniques take practice, some flavors take time to develop a taste for, and every cook makes mistakes — that is part of learning.

Our course is our commitment to making that journey clearer, more enjoyable, and rooted in real kitchen experience. We are not here to convince you that plant-based eating is the only way to eat.
